For Women

Over the years, I have counselled many women. Many of whom are impacted by the society we live in. Although we like to think that we have moved on in terms of equality, some ways of thinking are still entrenched. I have a good understanding of feminism and how patriarchy continues to affect not just women in our society but men too. Being a man, I can also offer insights into how men might perceive situations that women find themselves in. I also have a good understanding of how anxiety and depression affect women and the types of help that can be offered. For women who are interested in living more healthily, my hypnotherapy and level 4 in Nutrition knowledge can be helpful.

For Men

Society is changing so much now that many men suffer issues surrounding their identity. Should they be traditional or should they be a ‘new man’? Identities are rapidly changing in this modern world and rates of anxiety and depression in men are increasing. There should be no shame and stigma about going to see a professional in order to develop one’s mind. I see Counselling and Psychotherapy in the same way that some see Personal Training at the gym. The Mind is our most important organ and we should do our utmost to take care of it. For those men who are uncomfortable with the idea of counselling, hypnotherapy and coaching can also be really useful.

Children and Young People

Throughout my life I have worked with a number of under 18’s. I was not trained during my counselling diploma to work with children and for this reason, I decided to start studying a qualification in counselling young people and children this year. Although some counsellors will work with children even though they have not been trained, I believe this to be a mistake and all counsellors should inform themselves properly and get the necessary training with this client group. Mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression are growing amongst children.

For Business People

After having worked in a variety of industries and professions, I have a good understanding of many businesses and how they operate. I believe this gives me a good empathy of the challenges that many business people face. Before studying counselling, I completed a degree in German and Business Studies at one of the best Business Schools in Europe. After my counselling training, I went on to complete a qualification in Coaching and Mentoring at Coventry University where I later became an acting Course Director in Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring. This year, I completed by Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. I believe that this experience together with my qualifications gives me a good base to help people in business to develop themselves and move further in life.
